Custodian Crew (Cleaning, Compost, and Recycle)

Multiple positions and types of tasks available: cleaning residence hall restrooms, vacuuming, pick-up and removal of recycling, compost, trash, and litter.

Part-time positions available (7.5 - 10 hours per week) Autumn/Winter/Spring Quarters.
Hourly wage: $18.69

Most positions are 1.5 hours/day M-F, with a handful of jobs that have the option of additional weekend hours.

Your job continues between quarters, but your shift & assignment can change to accommodate your class schedule each quarter.

  • COMPLETE the Facility Management Student Employee Application
  • UPLOAD Facilities application (word document) to Handshake.
  • UPLOAD cover letter with your work availability. (Include all hours Mon-Fri you are willing to work; NOTE: positions require a 1.5 hour shift each day M-F)

Job duties vary by position and may include:
*Clean and restock residence hall restrooms
*Clean residence hall common areas (such as kitchens, lounges, laundry rooms, exercise rooms, stairwells, elevators and landings)
*Vacuum / dust / wash windows
*Remove trash and clean trash chute room
*Remove recycling and clean recycle room
*Collect recycling or compost from residence halls and offices around campus
*Pick-up litter around campus
*Restock and refresh residence hall restrooms on the weekend

Qualifications:
*Able to work 90 minute shifts Monday-Friday between 8am-4:30pm 
*Dependable, reliable, punctual
*Able to commit to a regular work schedule arranged around your classes each academic quarter
*Able to work independently and in a team, follow directions, attention to detail
*Able to perform cleaning & housekeeping job duties (bending, reaching, lifting, scrubbing, carrying, climbing stairs)
*Able to wear personal protective gear - gloves, safety glasses, face covering, disposable gown (some roles), etc.
*Valid driver’s license (for recycle, compost, trash, and litter positions)
