Thrift Shop Marketing and Digital Media Specialist - State Work Study

This position is available to qualified applicants with a Work Study grant through their financial aid program from one of the following schools: Seattle Pacific University, Seattle University, Northwest University, Cornish College, South Seattle College, or Bellevue College.

Applications will be reviewed continuously and interviews will be ongoing. 

The Marketing and Digital Media Specialist is responsible for assisting with the implementation, execution and evaluation of social media, marketing, and digital strategies to fully leverage all aspects of the Mercer Island Thrift Shop's brand in support of its mission. In this position, you will report to the City Communications Manager and the Thrift Shop Business Coordinator.

Mercer Island Thrift Shop Mission
The purpose of the Mercer Island Thrift Shop is to raise money for Youth and Family Services programs. Since 1975, the Mercer Island Thrift Shop has had a long history of volunteer participation. For many years, all operations were volunteer powered. This history was born out of a community passion to make mental health and school-based services accessible and affordable for all Mercer Islanders, across all generations. Thrift Shop volunteers, committed to the mission of Youth and Family Services, have been crucial in making these programs and services possible.
