Facilities Office Assistant (Utilities)

School Year: 5-15 hours per week (based on your availability & class schedule)
Position continues in Summer 2022 (part time or full time, based on your availability)
Office Assistant positions are available on a continuing basis until graduation.

Hourly wage: $16.69 / hour

Your role is vital to our success! You will provide support to the Facilities Office Manager, and the Assistant Vice President for Facility and Project Management. You will assist with a variety of administrative duties and payment responsibilities.
General Duties:
  • Assist with detailed tracking of SPU’s utility usage and payments in Excel.
  • Prepare payment requests and ensure invoices are paid accurately and on time.
  • Organization, filing, and follow up on projects as assigned.
  • Create/maintain Excel spreadsheets and maintain various office/budget records.
  • Provide front desk office support to Facility Management staff, greet and assist vendors/customers.
  • Assist in maintaining a neat and tidy office, conference room, and kitchen area.
  • Assist in preparing for meetings in the office as needed.
  • Copy, scan, and distribute documents.
  • Courier items daily to/from various locations on campus. (mailing, finance, VP office)
Qualifications:
  • Must work a consistent schedule Monday-Friday, designed around your class schedule each quarter during the school year.
  • Must be available to work at least part time during summer.
  • Must be a professional, organized, self-motivated, flexible, reliable, punctual, extremely accurate, detail-oriented individual.
  • Must be able to take direction easily, multi-task effectively, work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Overall computer experience/skills preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license (preferred but not required)
