Office Assistant - Federal Work Study


QAH Mission: To prevent homelessness and stabilize the lives of neighbors in need through financial and supportive services. Our clients are predominantly low-income individuals, including families, seniors, people with disabilities, and others who need support to maintain resilience

Job Description

The Office Assistant will be responsible for a range of activities including, but not limited to: client reception, providing referrals and other assistance, client intakes, clothing bank assistance, and general office tasks such as filing and data entry. This person will also be asked to help with special projects that include communications materials, social media campaigns, and organizational projects. Contributing to light cleaning and general upkeep is expected, in addition to maintaining COVID-era best practices in office sanitation.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic databases. Ability to work independently and take initiative while also working well as part of a team. A passion for social justice and empowering those living in poverty. Must be comfortable working with a wide range of people, including those who are experiencing homelessness or struggling with issues related to mental illness or addiction.
