Food Program Lead - Federal Work Study

The Food Program Lead will be responsible for a range of activities including, but not limited to: coordinating grocery and hygiene deliveries to food-insecure clients bi-weekly (Mondays and Thursdays), including delivery to those clients for approximately 2 hours each of those days. All client homes are located within our service area, which includes ZIP codes 98109, 98119, and 98199 (Magnolia, South Lake Union, and Queen Anne). Occasionally, the program lead will pick up donations. Queen Anne Helpline will reimburse for mileage.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

Licensed driver with insurance and access to a reliable vehicle. Microsoft Office and data entry experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative while also working well as part of a team. A passion for social justice and empowering those living in poverty. Must be comfortable working with a wide range of people, including those who are experiencing food insecurity and/or struggling with issues related to mental illness or addiction. Ability to lift 50 pounds, load and unload vehicles, and use stairs. Availability the week prior to Thanksgiving is a big plus.
