Resource Development Assistant - Federal and State Work Study

Solid Ground works to end poverty and undo racism and other oppressions that are root causes of poverty. Solid Ground envisions a community beyond poverty and oppression where all people have equitable opportunity to thrive. RSVP meets critical community needs by encouraging and supporting volunteerism for people 55 and older in King County.

As the Resource Development Assistant, the student will support Solid Ground's efforts to raise funds needed to meet basic needs, nurture success and spread change while learning about nonprofit administration. Key activities include:
- 50% Data Entry support for the Raiser's Edge database. This includes gift entry, event registration, and gift acknowledgments. 
- 25% Support for agency events including preparing packets, assembling event supplies, and pulling lists
- 25% Special projects and research to support team capacity 

Educational Benefits
The candidate will receive 16+ hours of training on relational databases and become Blackbaud Certified, a credential that is recognized and sought after at many nonprofits. The right candidate may also have the ability to earn the higher Blackbaud Professional Certificate if their skills, time and time allows.

As a team member the candidate will participate in trainings, events and meetings that will give them insight into how Resource Development and nonprofit agencies function.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:
-Interest or experience providing administrative support in office setting
-Interest or experience with database(s), Raiser's Edge or other donor database exp. preferred
-Effective communication skills, both oral and written
-Detail oriented, with strong organizational skills, excellent accuracy with data entry
-Basic knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, and Outlook)
-Willingness and ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds
