Business Development Assistant - State and Federal Work Study

This position will assist the Business Development team with a variety of assignments related to communication and marketing efforts. This includes communication outreach to potential external partners or customers and generating marketing information materials such as fact sheets or presentations. This position will also provide support in creating reports, data entry, and other tasks as assigned.

Main Responsibilities:
• Research and identify strategic relationships with partners or potential customers for potential business opportunities
• Market projects, technologies and core lab capabilities via e-mail correspondence to potential partners or customers
• Coordinate and schedule meetings with potential partners or customers
• Update and maintain contacts database in regards to contact information and meeting notes with potential partners or customers
• Manage and follow up on communications with potential partners or customers
• Collect and organize potential marketing information from various internal groups
• Generate marketing information sheets for various departments and research labs
• Work on upcoming marketing projects and tasks as assigned
• Provide assistance with day-to-day office duties as needed

Requirements:
• Currently enrolled undergraduate student with at least one year of coursework completed at the university demonstrating academic success (minimum GPA of 3.0)
• Must be eligible for the Federal Work Study program through financial aid
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Reliable, motivated self-starter with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Positive, professional attitude with outstanding interpersonal skills

Desired Skills:
• Currently pursuing an academic degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related fields
• Experience with reaching and engaging audiences through careful and effective messaging
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
