The Center for Learning is hiring University Foundations (UFDN) Peer Tutors for fall quarter 2019.

A UFDN (University Foundations) Study Tables Peer Tutor will host a study space and assist students individually and in small groups who drop in to ask questions, do homework, and study for exams for UFDN 1000, 2000, 3001 or 3100. The tutor will work 8 hours per week during fall quarter (specific times depending on tutor availability and program needs).

A UFDN Study Tables Peer Tutor must have completed UFDN 1000, UFDN 2000 (or UFDN 3001) and UFDN 3100 courses. In addition, the tutor must be able to communicate effectively, have a UFDN faculty recommendation affirming strong grasp of related academic subject matter, exhibit insight into effective strategies used by peer educators, and hold an overall GPA of 3.2 or higher.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis with plans to hire ASAP and no later than 9/30/19. Applicants who are chosen to move forward will be contacted via email with faculty reference form and interview times.
