Talon - SPU Mascot | Seattle Pacific University, On Campus Positions

Job Description: The SPU Athletic Department is the proud home of Talon, campus' official mascot. We have a rare opening for students looking to perform undercover as Talon and provide entertainment at various sporting events, campus events, community appearances, and more. Must be comfortable around kids and willing to dance/perform in front of crowds. Previous experience with fan engagement, performing arts, marketing, or similar preferred. Hours will vary but availability on Thursday and Saturday afternoons/evenings is strongly preferred. This is a paid position. Interviews/auditions will be held at the beginning of September. Responsibilities:

· Provide enthusiasm and high energy to fans and students at all times while in costume

· Preserve the identity of Talon without deviating from established character including: body language/mannerisms, attitude, fan interaction, and team representation

· Perform dances and entertainment during halftimes, timeouts, and during student section competitions as needed

· Help maintain the cleanliness of the costume and communicate to Athletics staff of any issues
