OSIL Office Assistant Application 2019-2020


Do you want to support student leaders and promote campus events? If so, join the 2nd SUB Central Reception team as an Office Assistant! Office Assistants get valuable professional experience in these areas:
  • Customer service: Greet visitors to 2nd SUB, answer general campus info inquiries, and get front-desk experience with phones, email, and in-person interaction with each shift.
  • Marketing and publicity: Write and edit emails, create graphics for events, use social media to publicize campus events, and enforce campus publicity policies.
  • Event planning: Assist the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership staff with event planning details, which includes anything from placing reservations to product research.
  • Team leadership: Help plan staff meetings, initiate and implement ideas, and create your own projects to improve the SPU campus.

All majors are invited to apply, but preference will be given to applicants with interest/experience in visual communication, graphic design, marketing, event planning, and/or SPU leadership experience.
Currently, we are looking for a student to fill this position during the 2018-2019 academic year. Therefore, applications from seniors graduating in Spring 2018 will not be considered in this process.
