CIS HelpDesk Technicians help SPU faculty, staff and students keep their computers and other technology running well. As a member of our technology support team, you will join us in our effort to support our campus customers through installation, troubleshooting, and servicing of microcomputer software, hardware, and peripherals. 

REQUIRED: Desire and ability to learn PC & mac support skills; Superb people and communication skills (both written and verbal) ; A desire to provide fantastic customer service; Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; Ability to adapt to changing situations; Strong work ethic and the ability to work alone and be self-directed as well as able to work with others on group projects; Good organizational skills; Attention to detail; An interest in technology; Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve PC related technical problems. 

DESIRED: A background in technical support; Hands-on knowledge of PC & mac hardware and software; Strong working knowledge of the Windows and Macintosh operating system, MS Office Suite, as well as MS Office for mac. Other areas for knowledge include: hardware support; an understanding of basic networking principles; and familiarity with a variety of troubleshooting and security tools, from antivirus and spyware removal tools to operating system utilities.

This position is limited to between 13 - 20 hours per week during the regular school year but may increase to 30 - 40 hours per week during quarter breaks and/or summer. 
This position does qualify for work study. 
The Pay range is $16-$20 Depending on experience.
