Early Connections Student Staff

Assist Multi-Ethnic Programs staff in planning and coordinating Early Connections orientation and ongoing EC activities through

  • operational/logistical research, preparation, on-site support and troubleshooting
  • communication of expectations, timelines, and details with EC leaders
  • development of promotional materials for EC orientation and ongoing EC activities; management of EC social media communication
Build a team of EC leaders to plan ongoing events and activities

Contribute to new departmental initiatives including educational and leadership development activities

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience and leadership with event and program planning and communication
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Publisher (Advanced Publisher skills preferred)
  • Clear communication (both written and verbal) and an awareness of how to reach different audiences
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks; meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission of Multi-Ethnic Programs within Seattle Pacific University
  • Preference given to applicants who participated in Early Connections orientation and/or who have served as an EC leader
Hours/Start date:
20 hours/week July - September 18, 2018 (summer start date negotiable)
10-12 hours/week during academic year
